AMD Ryzen 9 3900X - How to cool...

Sir Gumby Dammit

Son going to build a system around the above processor (does not want to wait for stock of the new Ryzen 5x series to come in stock (and its on sale cheaper than the Ryzen 7-5800)

It comes with its own fan (RGB Wraith Prism Cooler, 105W), but wondering should he opt for other option.

AIO or Noctua solution?

Leaning towards an Phanteks Eclipse P600S PH-EC600PSTG for the case....

A stock cooler for a 12 core CPU sounds absurd but you'd be surprised at how well it handles the job, at stock with decent airflow.

Are you looking to overclock or do you just want nice quiet operation?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Wont overclock initially but might. Basically going to be a gaming rig. He got an RTX2070 from his old system he planning on dropping in it... Don't want it to sound like a jet taking off or anything so a low level of noise would be acceptable...

If he went AIO was thinking Fractal Design Celsius S36 Blackout....
