Hello everyone, I have had my rig since 2010 and I've replaced the GPU in September and added an SSD a month later.

The specifications of my rig are:

Motherboard: Some cheap discontinued Asus motherboard.

Case: OEM pile of trash metal.

CPU: AMD Phenom ii 955 BE @ 3.2Ghz with a stock cooler.

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SC

Ram: 4GB Corsair Value Select at 1333Mhz

Storage: 120GB SSD + 1TB HDD ( 840 Evo + 5400rpm )

Note: MY RIG IS MATX

Peripherals:

Monitor: 24" 1080p TN panel by Samsung

Keyboard: Logitech G510

Mouse: Gigabyte M7 Thor

Speakers: Altec Lansing 2.1 subwoofer with 2 speakers

Microphone: Blue Snowball Glossy Black

I am planning to upgrade in the future, not sure when and how but I'd like ya'll to help me decide on what exactly to upgrade.

What I do with my PC? Light video editing ( gaming montages, etc with a maximum of 20 minutes )

And ofcourse, 1080P Gaming.

My budget would be like 400-500 dollars when I am about to upgrade ( Somewhere in summer ).

Thanks already,

Needs at least 8 gigs of ram, upgrade to an FX-8320 (new chip+mobo but it'll be hella faster), and save whatever money is left over for a new gpu later on.

Im with this guy. Keep your memory for now and upgrade your CPU and get a new mobo to go with it and then upgrade your ram.

Thanks for the input, altough If I'd upgrade the motherboard/case etc I will go ATX so a 4670K with 8GB Ram and a Define R4 would be good?

PSU is trash ( 450W non-efficient, non-modular ).

Well add that to your upgrade list lol, never cheap out on a psu

Anyways, i think you are asking for stuff to early. We are 3 months away from summer. You could probably buy a PSU now, since their price doesnt change much but the rest will change for sure. Would be good if u had money to grab some deals on the way like the 4670k for 200$ on amazon.

I would say: ask us again when you have the money or are rly close to the purchase, not now!

there is no mATX mobo that would be suitable for 8350, nor i recommend getting 8350

Cya in summer i guess, now its pointless to discuss.

He was talking about going ATX if he went down that upgrade route, nothing wrong with an 8350, i see more advantages with it over a 4670k. But intel fanboys....

Yeah that will help but they're expensive.

Nah $150 max you only need a decent 500-550w.
