Have you uncapped your frames in CS:GO? Tried optimizing the GPU through NVIDIA Control Panel?

Yes I uncapped my frames in csgo , I'm not sure how to optimize the GPU in nvidia control panel

Hi guys , I have an i7-8700k cpu , so recently I bought a Rtx 3080 . My CPU temp is usually around 65-70℃ I'm not sure if that's high or normal , and my GPU around 60-70℃

I usually play csgo with low setting but I only have around 300-400 fps . Which my old GPU 2070 can also generate . I saw vidoes online which people have around 400-500 fps . I know 300 fps is a lot already but I wish I can use extra 100 or 200 fps I payed for. (Sorry for bad English )

Your English is pretty good, just don't put a space and then a punctuation mark. Then it should be fine.

Does your monitor support 400-500 FPS?

that wont affect how much fps he gets, you can get 500 fps on a 60hz monitor, doesnt matter

OP what settings and resolution are you playing at? this is not a bottleneck but rather cs:go being cpu bound

AMD blackout rig

cpu: ryzen 5 3600 @4.4ghz @1.35v

gpu: rx5700xt 2200mhz

ram: vengeance lpx c15 3200mhz

mobo: gigabyte b550 auros pro

psu: cooler master mwe 650w

Here's a good guide on how to do it.

Look at the cpu usage when gaming. Is it at 100%? If so, then it is likely bottlenecked.

its not a bottleneck, its a CPU bound game, CS:GO is notorius for being cpu bound

odd, is that a custom setting? or is your monitor like that?

Excuse my ignorance, what's the difference between bottlenecked and cpu bound? Cpu bound is just a fancy way to say that the game will only run as fast as the cpu will let it. I.e.cpu can't push out frames fast enough(100% utilized) isn't it? And bottleneck also means that the cpu is maxed out and can't push out any more frames.

CS:GO needs a better CPU than GPU. You can literally run it faster with a i7 8700k and a GTX 1660 Super than a i3 10100F and a RTX 2060. (I think? The point is you can get a better CPU with a lackluster GPU and run it faster than a worse CPU and a really good GPU.)

its not really correct to call it a bottleneck, as no matter what you do, the game will always be limited the cpu, its not the hardware being badly balanced its the game or task being almost entirely run by the cpu.

Not necessarily doubting, but I'd like to see data on this.

I stand by my statement, if your cpu is pegged at 100%, you are bottlenecked. Bottleneck does not always mean an unbalanced system, it just means that you have hit the performance limit of one piece of hardware.
