boot usb doesn't seem to be working ?

recently i had a power surge and it destroyed 1 hard drive and 1 ssd in 2 pcs.. very annoying

 

at the moment i'm installing new ssd's in each pc

 

the first pc went well windows installed and i have remote access etc

 

but the second pc im having trouble 

i can get into bios

but it won't go into the windows install using the same bootable usb that i used on the first pc

instead of the windows 8 install i get a black screen with a blinking curser, then black, then black with a blinking curser and then finally a black screen again 

 

how do i install windows ? on this machine, something wrong with the MB?

the boot sequence is usb-->ssd-->extra hd

Try making a new Windows Bootable USB for the second computer.

how should i change the bootable usb ?

Open the bios go to boot tab and change the boot order tab for the usb to boot first. If not first change the boot order for the usb. Check if the USB port is powered due to power.
