future microphone set up (need help)

Because its the recommended microphone for youtube etc and is quite cheap when on sale.

I was just checking to make sure you were actually using it for recording... Thank god your not getting it because its "cool" or some other lame excuse for using a mic that voice chat can't even utilize.

How you mean? Is that the same for the Blue Snowball?

Depends on the pop filter - most have a screw-down clamp that'll work with any boom arm you pick

How about this one? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dynamics-PDS-M16-Microphone-Shield-Recording/dp/B000L99XWG/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1394661929&sr=1-1&keywords=pop+filter

also another question do I need anything special like a mount to attach the microphone to the mic arm? in this video I can't see anything attached so I need to know before purchasing the stuff.

Oh no definitely for recording I was going to get a snowball but its not that much more for a yeti looking at the prices.

Many people get shock mounts, but they're not necessary. If you plan on moving the mic around a ton while recording, then maybe you'd want one. The mic just screws in - there's two standard fittings, and the boom arm should come with an adapter if the mic doesn't as well.

I just got a blue tiki for my desktop, and I really like it.  I don't know how much better or worse it is than a yeti, I just know a yeti takes up huuuuge desk real estate.
