So I currently have a Ryzen 5 2600, 2 1080 TI (EVGA), 1200w PSU (see part list), and 32 (4x8) Corsair vengeance pro 3000MHz memory.

I plan on upgrading the CPU to a Ryzen 7 3800x (50% off msrp) and an Meg x570 ace motherboard. What are your thoughts on this? There will be absolutely no gaming into he rig.

If this is a video transcoding machine and you use the cpu for it too then get the highest corecount possible. I don't know what your budget is but 339 for a 3800x is still pretty expensive when a much better 3900x is a little more.

What type of cooling would I needs for that? The room ambient temperature is 22c fyi

I'm getting a 3800x for $250
