Selling my pc, how much should it be priced at?

Go to solution Solved by dizmo,
  1. Go to your local classifieds
  2. Compare pricing
  3. Price accordingly
  4. Sell
  5. Profit

It's pointless to ask here. Not only is everyone very active in the tech scene, so they will tend to offer less than someone that isn't, they likely don't live where you do, which also drastically changes the amount  you can expect to get. However, I'd temper your expectations. It's old tech, so you should be expecting around at least 3/4 of the original value, if not closer to half. Windows holds no monetary value when you're calculating resale value, nor do the RGB strips or the thermal compound.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://pcpartpicker.com/user/j.dulog/saved/#view=gLppgs

Hello! I built my pc around 4/5 years ago when I was a freshman in high school. I am now a freshman in college and with more money and a bigger passion in streaming, I wanted to sell my current pc and use this money towards a new build. Unfortunately, I am not 100% sure what I should sell this pc for, or what it is worth. I originally built this pc for around $1300, (some prices on the pc part picker list were unavailable), and had originally though of pricing it at $1000-$1100. I mainly used it more school at first in the first couple of years of high school, then started using it more for gaming and streaming come senior year and this year of college. Any feedback or interest in pricing or buying my pc is appreciated thank you!

it is tough to price, as opinions differ, and different markets can have different value. i would say 400-500$.

Yeah, but I'd offer up $200 and wouldnt go up past $300

But you might get lucky on a uninformed mom buying pc for her kid and spends $500.

Depends on how long you want to wait it out

In the end you could just part it out.
