Good afternoon,

So I was playing RDR2 on PC with a 5700 XT. FPS were usually around 75 with good stability on 2k with a mix of high-ultra settings. The problem I found while gaming was that I had quite of micro stutters. Like really really micro stutters. The issue was driving me crazy because FPS were rock solid and lowering graphical settings didn't seem to solve the issue, it was better but not fully gone. I searched around trying a lot of fixes until suddenly I found an user who solved an issue like mine by setting W10 power plan to performance, which makes the CPU go 100% at all times. And after trying it, all the stuttering was gone.

I'm asking here for some recommendations on how to solve this issue without having to set the power plan to performance, because I don't like that much having the CPU be at a constant 100%. I've done quite some GPU OC and UV but have no experience whatsoever with CPU configuration. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

You can always change the minimum processor state in the advanced settings of a power plan lower than what they default to 100%. That's what I did with my plan.

i have also noticed when on balanced power plan i have micro stutter in RDR2, but only later i noticed that during playing RDR2 on balanced mode my CPU clocks would drop bellow base clock speed, putting HIGH Performance power plan FIXES this, but this isnt happening in any other Game, if i set Balanced and play any other game its fine, only is happening in RDR2 so far, and clock drops happens so fast that it was really hard for me to notice at first
