Hello everyone I'm a 1st time builder. Here's the link to my parts list FOR REFERENCE: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/

MY QUESTION: Does it matter where I've attached my component power cords into the PSU or have I done them right? I'm afraid of the thing exploding, setting fire, arcing, or shorting on me for fear I've placed them into the incorrect PSU outputs / inputs... I know nothing about volts or electricity really. I DO KNOW MY CONNECTIONS TO THE COMPONENTS THEMSELVES ARE CORRECT, just confused on the points on the PSU itself.

I have an ASUS ROG THOR 850w Platinum. I've attached 2 pictures of the input/output ports on the PSU for reference.

Please tell me if I need to change them around, or any safety concerns I should be aware of, or if I've done them correct.

Here's what I've done, and where I've attached the cords to the PSU:

Motherboard: to slots 11 and 12

                                     [using (18+10) to 24 cord]

CPU: to slots 1 and 2

                                     [using 2x (4+4) to 8 cords]

(NOTE: 2x separate cables that attach to CPU PWR1 and CPU PWR2 on motherboard with ends labeled "CPU")

GPU: to slots 9 and 10

                                     [using 2x (6+2) to 8 cords (PCIE)]

(NOTE: 2x separate cables that attach to GPU with ends labeled "PCIE")

HDD: to slot 6

Here's a bunch of electrical garble I don't understand but may be helpful to you guys:IMG_4969.thumb.JPG.735d6bb4ab22a45d82b180f858375a52.JPG

SO HOW'D I DO???

As long as you've connected the cables labeled 'PSU' to the PSU you should be good.

You only need one 4+4 cable for the cpu power. Did you use 2 4+4 cables for it if so that is a problem. Otherwise all good.

Yes the motherboard is an (8pin + 4pin). each CPU cable only does (4+4). I was told each (4+4) on the motherboard does 300watts, but to overclock I'd need to plug into CPU PWR2 (the single 4pin) to ensure that I didn't overload the other CPU power port (4+4) by sending too much watts through it. I have an i7-10700k I plan to OC at around 5.1-5.2GHZ stable and long term. Why... is this a problem?

According to GamersNexus power draw tests for the i7-10700k:

Stock: 134.4 Watts

@5.1GHZ (1.37V SET / 1.34 GET) runs up to 267.6 Wats
