So, got an HDR monitor and have been putting it through its paces. My initial thought is, it looks good in games that support it, and it doesn't look good on the desktop.

I'm wondering if there is a way I could create, essentially, and on/off button for it on either the desktop or taskbar, rather than having to go into the display settings every time to toggle it?

Thoughts?

What monitor do you have? If it doesn't do at least HDR 600 and have local dimming, desktop experience will look really bad.

@ddennis002

It's a Samsung Odyssey, so I believe it has something like HDR1000 and local area dimming.

The main thing that I was noticing was that the Windows interface was being washed out.

Also some of the older games I'm playing didn't have some of their textures well designed for HDR, and brings out some of the visual tricks they were trying to use to avoid more complex implementation and points a bright shiny spotlight at them.
