So my power cable for my monitor is getting bugged with ants what is the best way to get rid of it?

Babypowder and isopropyl alcohol mix around the cable. Basically the standard how to keep ants in my ant farm mix but it also works to keep them out (makes surfaces far too slippery and the babypowder attaches to their legs causing them to fall off). If they are going into the monitor that means there is most likely already a nest in there so you should 100% open it before they manage to short it out.

Why are ants attracted to your monitor power cable? Did you spill a sticky drink on the cable or something?

Anyway just use bug spray and general pest products. Try to deal with the ants at the source and not just at the power cable. Seal up any points where the ants/insects are entering the home. Remove anything from the area that will attract them like food.

You might need to open the back of the monitor and clean it out if there's an ant infestation inside, otherwise they can short it out. Also seen a few photos of ants on the inside of the display which would be annoying :D

Check your local supermarket or hardware store for pest control products.

Clean the cable with a wet towel with solvents (sanitary alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, acetone) to remove any pheromones or stuff ants left on it, spray some ant insecticide on the power cable.

Not a good idea to seal the monitor, as those holes are there for ventilation, the backlight is hot and there needs to be air moving heat away otherwise the backlight will go bad/degrade faster.

Do some research about how to stop ants, like spreading some substances around the edges of your room so ants won't get in and so on.
