Need help/recommendations for selected build.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 50% gaming / 50% AutoCAD (engineering software)

Currently have created a build like this :

 

Looking for any recommendations on bottlenecks or possible issues.

 

Was thinking on waiting for rtx 3000 and amd 5000, but the shortage of the items and expected prices seems to be not worth for me, as i need a computer in 1 or 2 months with similar budget. - do you think it is worth a wait ?

 

What would you change/add/remove for this build ? any issues that you could see ? Picket that specific graphic card as it has nice discount at the moment in the shop i am looking.

Get the 3600 over the 3600x. Or if you utilize your budget better you can get a 3700x.

 

DO not buy a 2070S, if you don't want to wait for new GPU's the RX 5700XT is a much better buy, near 2070S performance for less than a 2060S. Also you have an AMD FreeSync panel on your buy list, so might as well go for a an AMD card so you can utilize your adaptive refresh rate. 

 

What specific region in Europe are you? (to help with a PCPartPicker List)

i dont know if it is worth it to wait, but i would change the Motherboard to a b450 Mortar Max or Tamahawk Max if you don't need pciE Gen4 and are comfortable with a bios update. i would also swap the 3600x for a 3700x.

 

is this a hyper 212? if yes, than pls throw it out and get a brocken eco advances, Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo or Mugen 5 rev B.

you dont need thermal paste. it is probably included (depends on the cpu cooler you will buy)

Lithuania or Denmark .

 

Did not notice the FreeSync - yes that probably would make sense, just was not considering Radeon as Nvidia seems to be all the hype and other builds

FYI : Asus ROG-STRIX-RX5700XT-O8G-GAMING AMD same price (480 euro) as that nvidia 2070s in the list (490) - still worth the change ? if not - what monitor would you suggest for the nvidia g-sync in similar range.

Thanks for suggestions, will look into possibility to save on motherboard and upgrade the cpu.

And will change the cooler to the best reviewed , of the ones you suggested.

What are you using for PCPartPicker, becasue it's not either of those.

I would avoid the Asus B550-F as there are issues with the Intel 2.5G LAN controller.

 

Maybe consider the Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite/Pro or one of the MSI B550 boards (B550-A PRO/Gaming Plus/Tomahawk/Gaming Edge etc). The Mortar listed above is also good.

would love microatx, but bit worried about the thermals and sound, also the use case does not mind the full tower as it is set in place where it is invisible for most cases.

If anything thermals and noise would be less in an mATX system, fans are closer to the hardware with less fans required.

In my experience mATX is the best of both worlds, cases still provide enough airflow (get a mesh front panel case), and you get a more compact form while still being able to get all the key features in the motherboard vs atx.
