Budget (including currency):  $1000-ish. Can go up a bit if needed.

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Warzone, BF, Doom Eternal etc..

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

This is my current setup that I put together about 4 1/2 years ago. I don't need any peripherals. Frame rates are pretty rough as soon as there's any action on the screen in Warzone. I posted about this back in June but waiting for new hardware to come out was the advice I got. Upgrading the current system doesn't seem to be worthwhile so I'll just keep it as is. Any suggestions greatly appreciated as always.

ryzen 5 5600x will be around 400-500 cad i believe. you can play with the rx 480 for a while and wait for rtx 3060.

rx 480 is still decent for 1080p. your cpu is the weakest part right now.

I'd wait for Ryzen 5000 and RTX 3000 series to come out/become available. These launches will at the very least drive down the prices of current hardware. (You might want a 5600x or a 3060 for example)

If you *need* something today:

But I still wouldn't recommend getting anything today.

R9 3900x, 32gb 3200mhz corsair dominator RGB, 1070Ti Founders Edition, HP 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD

he already has a case and probably a decent psu to go with. also 2060 super is overpriced since oyu can get rx 5700XT instead and it is quite a bit faster than 2060S

and u can go for good gpu like rtx 2060 super btw

kinda bad value. 5700XT makes more sense. OP should wait for rtx 3060.

i suggest to add a 9th genn i5 or i7

he would have to chage the motherboard for that. and since he chages the mobo he could go for AMD which makes more sense.

Thanks for the suggestions :)  Seems whenever I post new gear is coming out. I'll wait for the new stuff to come out. I'll go AMD for this build for sure. Using the RX 480 for a while seems like a good idea as well. Thanks again.
