Just to confirm if CX550M are the same as the non-modular CX550 ones as the CX550 are out of stock everywhere.

The CXM has a double forward topology as opposed to the LLC on the non-modular CX.

What this means is that it'll whine quite badly when paired with modern high-end GPUs, though assuming you don't plan on throwing a 2080Ti in there it shouldn't be too big of a problem.

 

So no, it is not the same, but it still works well enough as a budget option.

Well, just putting it into a 1500X and a 1050Ti so I thought it would be fine tho.

Rather to pick the CV series somehow.
