b450-f vs b550-a

Agena_

Hi, i found these 2 motherboards and i dont understand them that well. I've chosen 2

Black asus rog strix b450-f - £100

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-B450-F-GAMING-Socket-Motherboard/dp/B07F714FT7/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=asus+rog+strix+motherboard&qid=1603223255&sr=8-3

White asus rog strix b550-a - £170

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-ROG-Strix-Gaming-Motherboard/dp/B08F9VP2RC/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=asus+rog+strix+b550-a&qid=1603223388&s=computers&sr=1-1

Which would be best to pair with a 3300x or 3100

Thank You

Why only these 2? Neither are great, and a bit expensive.

If you want to stick with asus, get the b550 tuf

The Strix B550-A is a lot better, but quite overkill for a quad-core.

Here's a good, in-between option, that can handle even a 16-core without any trouble:

what about 2600/x

That wouldn't work with a B550 board, and if you're just gaming the 3100 and 3300X make more sense to buy.

B550 is compatible with Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000 excluding APUs) and Zen 3 (with a recent enough BIOS revision).
