dell xps 8700

my dell xps 8700 wont turn on but the orange led is on the power button does nothing it has a evga 500w, evga gtx 1060, sandisk 100gb ssd plus, and 12gb ram

Make sure the power supply cable is plugged in fully

 

Check interior cables for proper connections - especially for the front panel connectors (usually on the bottom right of the motherboard)

i already have tryed that about 5 times and still no luck

Take out the front panel cable and short the pins with a screwdriver

ok which pins or does it not matter

it turned on just fine when i shorted the pins thank you ima go and buy a new power button
