Safe in terms of "you'll certainly get one" or safe in terms of "you won't get scammed"?

If there was a surefire way to get a product that has supply issues, everyone would be using it. Which would then result in the exact same issue again. So there's really only two options. Try your luck and attempt to buy one at launch, or wait until supply is big enough.

Wait for it to be listed on Nvidia's website (get there 30 minutes before),then the moment you can purchase it buy it.

You need to buy it before the bots do.

Nvidia no longer sells cards on its website in North America because they screwed up the 3080 launch so bad and then it was found the store was exposing cached customer data like addresses and CC info. May or may not change before 3070 release but anyone trying to get one should plan on spamming F5 on a retailer site or camping out at a brick and mortar.

Current build: AMD Ryzen 3600, ASUS PRIME X570-Pro, EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2, G.Skill 2x16GB 3600C16 DDR4, Samsung 850 Evo 250GB SATA (boot), Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVMe (games/work), Corsair RM750x, Scythe Mugen 5 Rev. B, Phanteks Enthoo Pro M, LG 27GL83A-B

I’ve given up on getting ahold of one this year. The 3080 was released going on a month and a half ago and ive never seen it in stock.

i dont know if its covid messing with supply chains, crypto miners and scalpers buying them up, hige demand outstripping supply or nvidia releasing the card before they were ready to beat AMD or all of the above.

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x,  MOBO: ASUS TUF X570 Gaming Plus wifi, CPU cooler: Noctua D15S, RAM: Gskill Ripjaws V @3600mhz,  GPU: Asus Strix 1070ti, PSU: Corsair CXM 750 CASE: Corsair 450D Storage: 500 GB Inland Premium M.2,  Sandisk Ultra Plus II 256 GB & 120 GB
