First PC Build ($1200 CAD Budget) NEED YOUR HELP!

Budget (including currency): $1200 CAD

Country: CANADA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Call of Duty, Sports Titles, Light editing (Adobe Suite), potentially some streaming down the road

Other details No parts yet, would love to have this baby silent as possible, no real plans for resolutions/refresh rate.

Well, its finally happened; After years of shotty frame rates and lack-lustre performance on top titles, I'm finally ready to graduate from console gaming to a PC.

I've always been interested in building, but now that I've been really looking into it, I've found that it's so much more complicated than I had anticipated; which is awesome, but also a bit overwhelming. I feel like its almost sacrilegious to join a forum and be like, "Hey, help me build this thing!" (sorry in advance) - but likewise, I know that there are much brighter people on here who are way better versed in PC builds than me.

Any suggestions on where to start? Parts lists that you've see that looked good? Good deals? AMD over Intel? Build tips? Things to avoid?

Lol no worries, I've noticed quite a divide in that particular area of discussion on RAM.

That's huge, I really appreciate it 👍 I'll spend the next little bit looking into all of those parts.

Do you think this could handle a game like Warzone 1080 @ 100+fps? If not, would it be worth upgrading from a GTX 1660 to a GTX 2060?
