Games run on integrated graphics and not on the dedicated GPU

Its all in the title.

Was playing minecraft and realised that it was running on the intel integrated graphics. I quit the game, went to NVIDIA control panel, there i changed it to use GPU option, launched the game again, but, it was still running on the integrated graphics... then went to intel's one and i couldn't figure out anything there.

Pls help... Thanks!

That lists all the available configurations but doesn't say specifically which one is yours. That said, there is a small note about discrete graphics and how Nvidia Optimus might not be fully enabled on all systems. Regardless, have you tried checking to see if Windows is now managing your graphics processor as opposed to the Nvidia Control Panel? One of the more recent updates to Windows moved the controls over to Windows itself, and changes to the Control Panel don't carry over. You can check via Settings > Display > Graphic Settings. If it's there you can try forcing Minecraft to use the discrete graphics from there, perhaps then it'll stick.
