My mic does not work anymore

Monolova

I have condenser microphone, Lastvoice bm800. Or semi-condenser, whatever you call it.

3 months ago I was using it with only xlr to jack cable. No problems. Just Desktop PC and Mic.

It detects my mic, but I cant hear my voice. Just random buzzing sounds, time to time.

I read that this mic ONLY works with phantom power. But I seen Youtube videos and literally 3 months ago I was using it.

Im thinking to buy a new xlr to mic jack cable.

I would try replacing the cable, also it is a fairly cheap mic. It is possible it's just the mic.

The BM800 is a cheap, not great mic and the only way to make it sound half decent is to use an actual preamp/interface.
Trust me, I own one (among many other microphones)

Does your BM800 works with only jack cable? or are you getting random buzzing sounds like me?

No if he Uses It With A Interface Because Xlr is supposed to be in microphones xlr to xlr not xlr to jack yeah it works but its not the correct use xlr to jack or aux to xlr  is usually used for connecting tablets, computers, phones and laptops to PA Systems,Mixers, Speakers Or Interfaces And Specially If Ur Microphone uses phantom power you are not getting the full use capabilities of it if you dont want to spend much or cant spend much bheringer offers cheap usb interfaces that lets you use panthom power and also to get the most out of your microphone doesnt have the best preamps but works and sound ok and im not a recording guru So if you need more help sure @The Flying Sloth Would have the answer for you

Cheapest USB interface I'm aware of is the Behringer UM2 but I'm sure there are other cheap options you could use. Check local classifieds and see what's available used near you, you don't need anything expensive you just need an interface with a preamp and phantom power and 99% of interfaces will fit that designation.

Thanks but as I said Im %100 sure it was working with only xlr to 3.5mm jack cable (comes with mic) so its probably mic or cable.
