RTX 3080 Sizes

Hello guys, I'm looking to upgrade to a RTX 3080. I'm using a Corsair graphite 380t mini itx chassi.

It's got 2 fullsize expansionslots and max gpu size of 290 mm. IIRC the FE card is only 2 expansionslots, while a lot of the other ones are 2.5 or even 3? 

I can't find any info about the sizes of these cards, which ones can I use?

Not every card will have the stat, but most cards now display their "slot width" -- which is the number of PCIE slots they'll require.  Everybody lists their GPU length, so you're good in that dimension.  

Newegg is a good place to find all of the common cards' slot width.  I set up a sample comparison here.  (I doubt the link will work, but if it doesn't, just go to Newegg and look for "slot width" in the card's specs)

I've got only one actual pcie slot on my mobo, but my chassi has two of those slot bracket thingys. If it says 2.7 slots, can I use one or can I only use one with 2 or less?

I *believe* the brackets are a good indicator of how many slots your case supports, but I wouldn't take it to the bank.  You might want to look at the case's documentation and see how many slots the case supports.

you have one pcie 16x, but the case only has 2 pcie brackets. so a 2.7 slot may or may not work, depending on it you have extra space after the bracket ends.

You can try measuring the distance between the side of the case and the end of the bracket. Your case kind of bulges out a bit.

However, I'd put my money on the other cards not fitting, or having the fans so close to the side of the case they lose a lot of their ability to cool.

Just buy the FE, since you know it fits.

meshify c has 315mm gpu clearance with front fan installed and its really tight with the evga 3080 ftw3

With the FTW3 I probably have 8 inches left on my View71 before it hits the front radiator.

His GPU mounts vertically and is right beside the side panel.
