Curious about ps4 file compression

So the PS4 is indeed compressing the video files?

No further than standard MP4, it's just recording at a low bitrate in the first place.

So recently I've gotten back into YouTube video making and I have very slow internet. I edited a video on my PS4 with Share Factory and a 15 minute video came out to less than 1GB after I was done rendering! What I'd really like to know is if there is a way to mimic these file sizes on my PC. I know that my PS4's video was in MP4 format, recorded at 720p, and it used 30fps. But beyond that I have no clue how my PS4 was able to get such a small file out of a 15 minute video! Does anyone know how Sony did it so I can replicate these results on my computer?

Thanks friends!

There are many programs like handbrake that can compress video file.

That file would be about 8.3 mbit, pretty reasonble for 720p 30fps, and most streaming sites would make it about half the size.

Ah...Thank you for your help! I'll have to play around with my bit rates to see what I can do about that.
