Hey guys ,  please help me on this 

please share some  tweaks/settings  to play GTA 5  at decend playable stage 

 

my system 

Hp pavilion 15ab249 ne laptop

intel i7 6500U 

geforce 940M 4gb

4GB Ram 

500GB  Seagate HDD 

Nb: Upgrading components is not possible (empty pocket)

how many FPS do you average with low settings?

You should check out of those mods from gta5-mods.com that optimizes the game by removing various things from the visuals and so on. 
You're gonna get a hard time playing GTA 5 with those specs.

i didn't check it, is there any native options or a third party App to check It

all my settings is currently low still i fave some stuttering  when driving through city

That is more than enough for story mode, and for online as long as you stay in lobbies without a ton of players.

 

I do recommend you toss in an SSD and maybe another 4GB of RAM.

probably the best ways to tweak you setting is to turn on windows game mode and upgrade you drivers for your graphics and always make sure to close all backround apps!!!

and also one more thing, your graphics card or the entire laptop might not be runningg on required Mhz speed
