Which is better For Rendering Intel or AMD

HI, this is edward

 

I am planning to build a pc for my architecture work and i am looking into following specs please suggest.

 

Intel I7 10700k

MSI Z490 Gaming plus

Corsair 32gb ram

rtx 2060 or Quadro p2200

 

And 

 

IN AMD side

amd Ryzen 7 3700x

Gigabyte X570 board

ram and graphics in same

 

 

My usage is mostly 3ds Max with vray and blender , please let me know is it good idea to wait till the zen 3 processors and do suggest me if there any other configuration for my work load.

 

 

at the moment am using i7 3770 with gtx 960 graphics and 16gb ram

Shouldn't you just be able to get a 3900x by this point with just getting a slightly cheaper boad for the amd system and not have it impact it in any way?

 

Waiting till zen 3 would help no doubt about it.

A good b550 and a 3900x would smoke the  10700k. still though, the higher core counts and thread counts on amd's side will be better>

ryzen usually wins in rendering workloads, even the 3700x would be closely matched with the 10700k core for core. wattage will be significantly lower and easier to cool, and investing in some e-die ballistix would be great and probably the same price as vengeance lpx. as mentioned, a b550 is a great choice, usually better than comparable x570s for cheaper. that would let you pick up a 3900x or maybe a zen 3.

basically everything was bought used off of reddit or here, only new component was the case. absolutely nutty deals for some of these parts, ill have to tally it all up once it's "done" :D
