Ram stuck at 2133mhz....

I bought 2 extra sticks of Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3200Mhz. When i had 16gb i used docp and it worked fine but not with 32gb.

I've tried all on auto and clock speed at 3200Mhz, even turning voltage all up to 1.45v. But the pc reboots and resets memory to 2133mhz.

Can someone help me? :D

dont think zen+ can do 3200 on 4 dimms

try turning on XMP, but tune freq to 3000 or 2933MHz, see if it posts

if it does, validate it

is it's stable, you can use it as is, or lower the timings further to compensate for frequency lost

for asus boards, you will see it on the first page of bios, on the middle left

the D.O.C.P. or XMP option

i recommend you do a reset to optimised default first, then enable XMP

So, i tried. With Docp it seems like 2666MHz with 1.4v was the limit i reached with my skills. very annoying. is it because of CPU or the MB? My friend bought the same ram, but he runs intel CPU and Hero MB. all it took was to change the memory clockspeed and was good. why is AMD so weird about memory?....

hmm... 1.4v sounds high, especially if it's just to hit 2666

@TofuHaroto insights?

i'd say CPU, mobo shouldnt be an issue for such low clockspeeds

they dont do in-house memory controller like intel does, i heard

not too familiar with memory to comment on this

First of all, try running 3200 with the new kit alone and check, if that worked just fine, go for 4 sticks, set the soc to 1.15 and dram to 1.35 and go for 2933 with DOCP enabled, if that's stable, work your way up to 3200.

I see some discrepancies in this threads.

Screen shot shows a Ryzne 1700 (non X ), not a 2700X first off.

And if the screen shot is true with the objective reality, this rig will likely only run 2667mhz stable with 4 DIMMs populated. ANd perhaps not more with only 2 DIMMs populated.

That's all I can see from my seat, besides running crappy SK-Kynix modules.

NEVER MIND> OP QUOTED SOMEONE ELSES screen shots which made it confusing.

Sorry I need more coffee.

The screenshot was just a random picture to help me find DOCP. not my rig :)

i had some luck, got a few blue screens.... ended up with stable 2933Mhz soc at 1.1v.

soc at 1.5 was way to high. i might try figure out the 3200mhz, but this works for now :)

thanks for the help!!
