Rtx 3060 wait?

I only have 300$ to spend should I wait for 3060 or just buy a 200$ rtx 2060 super? I don't think Amd is a choice bc of drivers and not having tensor corez.

I definitely suggest waiting. Those new cards give you a lot more value than the old stuff. The new AMD cards are also coming in a month and AMD will most likely try to beat Nvidia on price performance. The 3060 will probably have 2080 performance.

It also sucks that 3060 will probably go out of stock right away and not be in-stock for months. So maybe Amd is a choice. I just really like dlss and rt cores.

Then wait........... They will get back into stock and while it will be a problem it becomes less of a problem the cheaper a product. Maybe a month after they come out and i'd expect any PERSON who wants them could get them.

To be fair I doubt scalpers are interested in the 3060. They wanted the premium cards since they know people are willing to buy them at high prices but the 3060 is a budget card and people who will buy those won't pay a penny more so there is a pretty good chance there will be a lot less scalpers buying them.

Hopefully  its in the 300 price range if its 400 i could not do it.

Those in the market for a mid-tier card are probably NOT interested in paying an inflated price, so inevitably scalpers will have no targets.

The 3060 has not been announced, so we don't know if they're even significantly better performance.

We don't know what's in the RDNA2 cards. It may have something that is superior to the RTX Tensor cores. It may even have the raw performance that it doesn't need them at all. (Tensor is used exclusively for DLSS in consumer cards)
