What should I upgrade to from 1050ti

Jordancj

Hi I have a 1050ti graphics card and about $500 that I can spend, I really want to upgrade but there's a fair few graphics cards out there that I'm overwhelmed as to what to go with, I was thinking either a 1660 super oc or a 2060? Thanks

Gaming PC Specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte AORUS B450M Elite

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2400G

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080

If you are fine buying used there are many 2060 supers on ebay for around $300-$400.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Yes because any GPU more powerful would be bottle-necked by your CPU. Alternatively you could wait for ZEN 3 and get a 4600 or 3600 and get a weaker GPU.

That was my next question, would it be worth upgrading my graphics card or cpu first because I can only do one or the other

I don't get why only 1? You could get a R5 3600 new and a 2060 super used if you look for it. R5 around 100usd and the 2060super for 400 and boom a pretty good gaming rig at your budget.

Oh shit. Ill try to find a deal for you.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/EVGA-1660-Ti-SC-Ultra-Gaming-Graphics-card-near-new-condition/353139156189?hash=item5238bbe4dd%3Ag%3AjJ8AAOSw1HpfDY4Q&LH_BIN=1&frcectupt=true

You can get these two and then later buy a GPU because the 3600 will be a good CPU for a decent amount of time.

If you get the GPU now how long would you have to wait to be able to get a $350 CPU so like the R5 3600 or the R5 4600 when it comes out?

Get the 2060 now and get more fps and If you feel that it is not enough get a 3600 in 3 to 4 weeks.

There will be a bottleneck with the 2400g and the 2060 but it will give more fps than the 1050ti.
