I think he means that the CPU won't make a difference in the games because the GPU is doing the rendering.

@OP That's correct, the 4930k will do absolutely nothing for you in games. The 4770k is plenty for your usage.

Not exactly. ^

The cpu is definitely doing work but it's more of 'If you have enough power, there's little point getting more'.

In this case, a 4770k or 4670k is already plenty.

That what i mean cacao

Yeah for sure the CPU does work in games, I meant to say that he was correct in saying that the CPU won't change anything, I should've phrased it better. In any case, a 4770k will serve him well for both gaming and all the rendering/streaming he'll be doing. I think you should start out with a single 780 or 780ti and possibly upgrade to a second one in the future if you feel you need more performance.

It's hard to recommend an exact motherboard when you have so many to choose from. Really any board with 2 way SLI capabilities and a Z87 chipset would work just fine, so it comes down to the looks (color scheme) and features (I/O, number of sata ports/pci slots, warranty, bios etc. etc.)

So really any of these would be great choices:

Some notable ones are the Sabertooth if you're into the whole super long warranty and durable components thing: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-sabertoothz87

Or if you want something lighter on the Asrock extreme 4 http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z87extreme4 and MSI GD65 Gaming http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z87gd65gaming are all great choices.

When we talk about just gaming and streaming on a build that is not going to be used as workstation, the most expensive component are the GPUs, and they should be picked accordingly to what you want to do. If you have a 1080p monitor, or you want 2, or you want 1440p or even 4k as you mentioned, the GPU power needed changes.

For 1080p, a GTX 780 will max out everything, and if you want to go fancy, get a 780ti. For 1440p 2 780s in SLI are the best choice, and for triple monitors or 4k, you will need at least 2 780ti to max out everything.

So getting your idea about the setup from the start is the best you can do. Are you sure you want to drop a lot of money in the near future on 4k? Not only it's expensive, but also I don't see any good panel coming to market soon, you want at least a 60hz IPS or VA monitor with low input lag and decent ms, and it appears to be that we are not there yet with 4k.

You might want to build around a possible 1440p monitor with G-Sync and get for example 2 780s.

If you are just going to Stream, play with 1 monitor on 1080p, and have another one for chat monitoring and stuff, get just one 780 or 780ti, a balanced build around those components, a 4770k to be sure to have the best performance while streaming and recording, and be done.

This build is the most reasonable thing to do now, it's quite good for your setup now, and you can put another 780ti down the road.

It doesn't really make much of a difference. If you won't need any special features, literally any z87 motherboard will do.
