Hi Guys, Im planning to build new system with 32gb worth of RAM. Im going for ATX type so what do you think is the best 8x4 or 16x2 ram slots. Also, for 8x4, I think our region doesn't seem to have huge stock for 8x4 ram kit so is it okay to buy TWO 8x2 ram kit of course like same brand, frequency and stuff lets say to achieve identical sticks. Thanks in advance.

Assuming the sticks are identical in specs and assuming you're going to be running a consumer chip (lga1151-1200 am4 etc.), 2x16 will perform the same and will have the same bandwidth as consumer chips only have 2 memory channels. and you'll have room for upgradability later down the line if needed.

just wondering, what platform/ cpu? though a 3200 cl16/14 or a 3600 cl16 kit should do the job.

16x2 is easier on the IMC, so stability and overclockability tend to be better. At the same speed and timings, 4x8 will perform slightly better because of interleaving, but this isn't significant.

Yes, and this usually works fine, but sometimes it doesn't. 8x4 kits sometimes have different subtimings than 8x2 kits, so some fiddling with timings might be required, though it has always worked for me.

Ill use it mainly for decent high fps AAA gaming. Also planning to prepare it for 3070 or higher probably when more gpu option comes out,

Or the x570 tomahawk if you can find one. the x570 strix e (iirc it uses an ASP1405 and 14 (in pairs) IR3555 60a stages) is decent, but is a little bit overpriced, same goes for the ultra imo.
