Do you want to fanboy, or do you want to play games better?

It is, but that's just what I would change/suggest. He can do whatever he wants. I just gave him a suggestion.

I completely agree with this, it isn't like from 5 years ago when ROG boards actually brought much to the table. These days, all Z87 boards will give you the same performance. Given that the black and red theme of ROG is really overdone and that there are honestly better looking boards available, e.g. the MSI gaming boards, there really is no reason to go with an ROG board, especially the Hero, which is just a gimmick more than anything, it's not even a real ROG board like the Formula or Extreme.

My Personal Rig - AMD 3970X | ASUS sTRX4-Pro | RTX 2080 Super | 64GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4 | CoolerMaster H500P Mesh

My Wife's Rig - AMD 3900X | MSI B450I Gaming | 5500 XT 4GB | 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 | Silverstone SG13 White

If you really wanted to be a ROG, then why would you choose an EVGA graphics card?

EDIT: 1. Also I would go with a Corsair RM750 (PSU), 70$ less. 2. I would personally go with a Dark Rock Pro 3 instead of the H100i. Also some bucks there
