So I"m building a Ryzen system (yes, the sole remaining Intel fan on the LTT boards, is trying out Ryzen, try not to faint) and the mobo has a bewildering array of Ryzen support:

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-I-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-10/support#support-cpu

From what I have read, and please, correct me if I am wrong, the cooling on the VRMs is somewhat naff (supposedly it's a 4+2 design, meaning solid support for 8 cores, and less, the higher you go) so my thought is to keep the CPU at 65watt design, which still leaves a ton of options, and frankly, I could use some guidance.

I have absolutely no plans to OC anything.

The case is a Phanteks Evolv Shift (not the air version, so I'll need to modify the front for better air flow. That's coming soon)

Any advice is well appreciated.

It hasn't got the strongest VRM - I'd definitely take a Strix B450-I or B450I Gaming Plus over it - but it should be fine for at least up to a 3700X. If that's what you're asking.
