Issues with 4K60 PRO. If EDID is set to any resolution above 1080, I see really bad artifacting in Elgato/OBS

Hi all, I have a Elgato 4k60 pro. I noticed this with my xbox one x that i couldn't run it in 1440p. I just built a dedicated streaming machine and i'm still seeing the same thing when the EDID is set to anything

above 1440p.  Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Tried obs on default settings?

What about the 4k elgato capture software?

Are you splitting the signal or passing through?

Gaming PC > Capture/Stream PC > Monitor.

Well if the software doesnt work for the device its made for, then theres another issue.
