Do I need a new PSU

I am wondering if I need a new cpu since I am going to upgrade from an old i3 3250 to a ryzen 5 1600 af, and I've seen that the r5 only has 65tdp while the 3250 has 55. So do I need a new psu?

What PSU do you have? Please list the model, not just a wattage number.

I have a generic psu, ik its not a good idea to use generic psus, but since my i3 is running just fine on it I think that the power supply could handle the ryzen 5, just making sure so I dont destroy my motherboard and cpu

I would get a b or a teir psu from this list.

Yes i will get a new psu eventually, but Im just wondering if i can use this cpu while I dont have a good psu. Dont have the money yet to get the psu rn
