used will go down a lot...new will go up a lot.

Cheapest new 2080ti in canada right now is 1690$ lol

By the time the new cards come out the old generation will be low on stock and i guess 2200$ will be the price for one of the remaining 2080Ti?

little drop in my opinion. And if nvidia's claims hold up, it would probably be better value to buy a 3070

2080 Ti prices have dropped quite a lot in some stores in Australia. The Aorus Xtreme went from $2399 down to $1299. That's a huge discount.

At first I dont think there will be a lot of change. No one knows how the supply of these cards are going to be. The supply chain is still suffering a bit. There have been rumors that crypto miners will buy pallets of them again. So if the supply isn't there, the likelihood of even used cards going to cheap will diminish. Once the supply is good an steady, then older/used GPU will likely drop a significant amount.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Yeah, pretty nuts. People are selling their 2080 Ti's on ebay for around those prices too lol

Imagine buying the highest end gpu (excluding titan variants) and losing pretty much half it's value after 1-2 years. I just sold my 1080 Ti for $600 and I paid like $1200 just over 3 years ago. Probably could've gotten at least $750 if I sold it before the announcement.
