I have a gtx 1650 super and wanted to overclock it, however i also dont want it to go over 75c, which would mean i would have to choose a over clock accordingly. Is overclocking the core more important or overclocking the memory more important. Right now I have 100 on the core and 300 on the memory is that fine or should i change it up.

I do have a fan curve but i cant bare the sound at 100 percent i have them at 70. Also, I have a hot room so thats why the temps are a little high.

That card is fine to 85c.  Just keep heaven running in the background and start raising the core clock until you get artifacts, then do the same for mem.

you can lower the power limit and still overclock it if you're concerned about temp

overclocking probably wont bring you temp up by much unless you also raise the power limit

as for core clock vs memory clock, depends on games but most of the time it's negligible differences (as in both in OC vs non-OC is probably less than 5% diff in frame rates)

personally lower the power limit of my card, and apply both core and memory OC.

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

what should the power limit be. I am at 100 percent right now

up to you to decide, i sometimes go as low as 60% if i dont need the speed, or 90% for more demanding games

just take note that after certain power limit, below that would tank core clock by a lot (ie 75% power limit core clock is 1830, 70% power limit core clock is 1800, 65% it'll suddenly drop to 1600)

ok. If i understand right I can keep my power limit at 90, and then if I keep my overclock that I had of 100 and 300, then my gpu will be cooler

power limit affects thermals more than clock speed from my experience

and each power limit might have their own stable core clock and mem clock offset i heard, so you might have to adjust them as you adjust power limit

though i personally never had any issues, my OC have always worked when i changed power limit, on multiple cards

You have to retest the stable overclocks, they dont necessarily overclock the same especially the core.
