Good Torrent Program

Can anyone recommend a good torrent program please?

 

I download a lot of video which a friend who is on a gap year uploads and she shares via torrent for some reason.

 

I have been using qBittorent but the max i'm getting is 9.7mb/s and i have a 500mb cable fibre connection which should be able to achieve around 72mb/s

9.7 MByte/s, 500Mbit, and 72MByte/s

what's your connection to your router? tried speedtest.net? what's is her upload speed at?

you can only download as fast as she uploads.

unless there are multiple seeders, then you can download as fast as they can upload

Your torrent client will not limit your download/upload speeds unless you tell it to.

 

qBittorrent is one of the best clients for Windows, other good alternatives are Deluge and Transmission.

I use bittorrent after some drama about utorrent coming with malware or something.

Avoid uTorrent as it installs a bunch of garbage onto your PC when you install it.

 

I personally use qBittorrent and it works well.

I would also agree that torrent client is not your issue, unless you set limits yourself.
