I have a usb bluetooth 2.0 adapter on my computer and everytime I connect a new bluetooth headphone it creates two option in windows, one which is like headphones stereo and the other like headphones hands free. The hands free sounds terrible and I read somewhere that this was because of the bandwidth limitation of bluetooth and how it cant send and receive data in high quality. My headphones both have bluetooth 4.0 and 5.0 in them I think. If I buy a new adapter with bluetooth 5.0 will my audio quality be the same when I use my headphones also as a mic. I currently have the mic in headphones disabled and also the hands free option disabled. I feel like if my phone can run them without audio quality loss then my pc would also do this if I upgrade the adapter. I just wanna make sure before I spend money.

i tried using a BT4.0 capable motherboard

it's the same crappy audio quality when you try to use both mic and headphone, even though sounded fine on phone

Is there any way to get PC bluetooth to sound like mobile?

yea, dont use the headset option

though i would only recommend if you're only listening to music as there's some serious latency issues with BT headsets in windows

even watching video can be disorienting if you're sensitive.

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I really dont care about latency.I talk to my friends a lot and my gaming headphones kinda get heavy. My rechargable batteries are always plugged in but right after I take them and put it in my condensor mic it just shows low battery. I really wanna just use my blue tooth headphones and talk like I can on my mobile and if anyone can find a solution to this I would be eternally grateful.

I believe two-way audio is significantly better with Bluetooth 4.0+. It should also separate the headphones into an audio input device and audio output device, so you won't need to switch between stereo and hands-free modes. This has been my experience with newer Bluetooth at least.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
