Which MB?

I'm always lost when new gpu's and cpu's come out. I have a AMB-350 gaming MB and looking to upgrade something that will handle the next 2 generations, if that's possible. Which MB should I be looking at?

what are you powering? budget? location/ currency?

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

 

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad. 

 

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

 

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

I'm going to assume for a whole new build, then if you really need more horse power than a 3700x or a 1080ti, wait for ampere to launch and for zen 3 to launch. 

the board isn't the best but shouldn't struggle with a 3700x.

You already have a 3700x?

 

then tbh the only reason to upgrade the board is for clocking the 3700x higher and maybe run faster memory speeds. PCIe 4.0... eh, we'll see how much it helps tho I dont think it will be huge for just a 3080 (unlike 3090).
