issues with GPU

Hi im having an issue with my system as i recently added a 1660 super and it plays games such as control fine using 100% of the gpu but in esports related titles it doesnt around 40%- 70% without a cpu bottleneck, this leads to lower fps which inst ideal for these competitive titles. but when i try the 1660 super in my brothers similarly speced PC it uses 100% of the GPU and performs better. anyone had this issue and anyone able to solve this?

 

system - mine

GPU- 1660 super

CPU - r3 3100

RAM - DDR4 LPX 2133 (overclocked to 2666)

PSU - BeQuiet power 9 500W

MOBO - Gigabyte b450m gaming

DRIVES-240gb SSD, 1TB HDD

GPU - GTX 960

CPU - r3 3100

RAM - 3200 patriot kit

Have u tried a driver update on the system?

yep thanks thats the solution didnt relize that it had such a huge effect on GPU performance.

It affects the CPU performance massively, which in turn affects overall framerates. RAM speed issues are something that looks like a CPU bottleneck from the GPU side of things, but the CPU doesn't look bottlenecked when you actually look at it. (at least with Ryzen systems)
