windows not seeing memory

a few days after my move windows started saying that I had 4GBs of memory but still saying I have 8 in some places. I have 2 modules 4GB  each for a total of 8GB. how do i fix this.

chances are its a 32-bit OS and you req a 64-Bit OS for anything more than 4+ GB

Memory freq is shown in 1/2 of whats written on the box. T2 timing * 667 -> 1333mhz memory

Does CPU-Z etc see all your ram? Have you ran any stress test which would max ram?

 yup cpu z shows my ram all 8GB. Should I just reinstall windows.

I JUST NOTICED THAT MY HARDWARE RESERVED WAS 4GB FACEPALM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now how do I lower it?

I fixed it the  system reserved. The MSI 970A-G46 ATX AM3+ Auto overclocking did it when I want back and overclocked manually it went away.

The 970A-G46 ATX AM3+ sucks it randomly raises the system reserved to 4GB even with a manual over clock. The only sulloution I can find is go in to the BIOS rest the settings and then apply the overclock again.
