Im building my first computer and i was wondering about these 2 gpu`s. The 770, the 780 and the 780 ti. Im going to play bf4 and planetside 2 mostly. But a good preformance in the future is nice.

I also want a non reference cooler but i cant decide. Im gonna play with a monitor @144hz.

I had a hot gaming laptop with bad graphics and low fps. I wanna change both of those. Now i dont need an overkilled card nor an overkilled price but i want something that can play bf4 on ultra with a smooth fps. Ps I dont need high aa.

For 144Hz, you'll be wanting a 780Ti to push as many frames as possible (If you already have it) If you don't have the monitor already, go for something like a 1440p IPS panel and still the 780Ti

For coolers, go for the one you like the look of. Even the reference cooler is still good. I'd personally go with EVGA for their customer support and warranty

Correct. Get a 60 hertz ips one.

They really aren't shit, sure the colors aren't as accurate as an IPS panel but there are some pretty decent TN panels that can be calibrated to have pretty decent colors. Plus 120/144hz is really awesome for fast paced games.

a single card isn't gonna push more than 60 fps in most games.

Do you have a budget? I'm pretty sure all of those cards can play ultra on BF4, but I'm also pretty sure ultra has AA? (something that you were just saying you didn't really need)

i meant turning aa low to increase fps. There for ultra graphics settings with low aa

The cards he's considering sure can. Think a 780ti can't play most games on high settings at 100+fps at 1080p?

There's no reason to actually increase fps just to fulfil that 144fps limit of the monitor. I don't even think you can see a difference past 80fps or something. If you wanted the playable fps (30 imo) then all there are cheaper cards and the 144Hz was overkill...

just get a 60 hz monitor, and overclock it as high ad you can (probably 65-80) and you will be even better than if you got a 144 hz monitor.
