idk if i should use my motherboard's power or the power supply

I don't believe you get to choose. Pretty sure that 1050 ti models that have a 6 pin PCIe connector require it to be plugged in for them to turn on. And models that don't, well, you just can't plug them in.

If you have a PCIe connector on your power supply, get an RX 570 or 470. They will run on a 6 pin connector, even though they have an 8 pin plug on them. It will cost you the same or less, and give you more GPU performance.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

470

The 480 has a 6pin, the weaker gpu shouldnt have more pins.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

1050ti basically doesn't need extra power.

But some with one will not work if you don't plug it in (i use to own one).
