I updated my Alienware 13 R3 laptop to BIOS 1.9.0 and now it won’t turn on

A couple weeks ago I manually updated updated my Alienware 13 r3 laptop to BIOS 1.9.0 and now it won’t turn on. When I press the power button the keyboard lights up and then the power button blinks red. Can anyone help??

try resetting the cmos battery

should be a pin hole use a needle to reset it

or open the cover and look for it

I unplugged the CMOS battery and the main battery for about 2 minutes, and then tried to power it on, Nothing happened and the power button is still blinking red and the screen won’t turn on. Any other tips that could possibly help?

Try to find out what code you are getting with the table I gave you.

Ok the pattern is: 3 red blinks and 1 blue blink. According to the chart that is a cmos battery failure.

Try replacing the coin cmos battery.

I replaced the CMOS battery and it worked! Thank you so much!:)
