trying to ssh into oracle server

Go to solution Solved by TheBean,

I found a solution. I opened powershell in the directory of the privatekey, I removed the .key extension so there was no extension at all, and then just did a regular old ssh.

i'm trying to connect to a oracle cloud instance but im having trouble ssh'ing into it. I have the IP, username, and the public/private key pair. But, I dont know how to ssh into it. I am trying to use putty, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to convert the '.key' pair that oracle gave me to the .ppk file that putty uses.

Edit: i'm also trying powershell but I dont know what this error means

You can use puttygen to convert the key to .ppk
