Computer shutdown without warning

Recently my computer has been shutting down without warning and I'm wondering if it is because of the PSU. I do leave my computer on for long periods of time if that could be a factor. Bulk of my build is from late 2014.

I've reversed any modifications to the bios with the exception to virtualization cause I use an emulator.

Computer runs fine for about 1-2hrs before "booming". The PSU is hot to the touch afterwards.

Specs

Intel i5 4690k

Corsair H60

Asus Z97-E ATX

4x4gb ram Kingston (not sure clock speed)

Gigabyte 2060 6gb oc

Corsair CX600M

Running Windows 10

Does the system just hard shutdown or does Windows shutdown properly? If it's the former, than it's most likely your PSU as you mentioned it was hot to the touch as well. From my experience, PSUs shouldn't be hot to the touch and 600W should be plenty for the specs you have.

Most like the maximum output of the PSU has degraded over time but that still seems extreme to me.

What are your temperatures?

You can try a different PSU if you have reason to suspect that's the cause.

Yes it's the former. It's a hard shutdown like when the power goes out.
