600 watts is moe than enough you could even be fine with a 500 watt but i like the head room. I think you should fork a few dollars more for the g skill as it is a lot more reliable, and it isnt thhat much more money.

What? You do know how RAM is manufactured, right? All G.Skill do is throw a heat sink on the PCB+ICs and sell it (they may potentially solder some things as well, haven’t looked at that stuff for a while).

Honestly should have kept the old system. A new gpu would have done wonders to it.

That's not a good build. CPU is overkill, GPU isn't good enough. Downgrade to a 3300x or a 3600 with a B450/B550 motherboard, and upgrade the GPU to an RX 5700xt

Cpu: Ryzen 7 3700x

5700xt is faster (almost 2070 super levels). 2060 Super is slower but you get NVENC, DLSS, Ray Tracing... Depends on how much you care about those.

Don't know why you're insisting on a 3700x... Overkill for games and you'll end up way over budget.

the 5700XT apparently does pretty well for solidworks, so i'd pick that.

-Bought x570 gaming edge wifi, not sure if thats a good board,

- I read that the 5700 xt has black screen issues. Did they fix it? If not imma go with 2060S

There is a Mobo tier list on this forum:

Tomahawk is better. If you need Wifi for your system, get a PCIe wifi card.

I believe the problems with the 5700xt have been resolved a few months back, correct me if I'm wrong.

you don't actually need an X570 board, and the one you picked is crap enough that a decent B450 board would be better anyway.
