So i left my pc on and then when i came back from getting groceries it went into sleep mode. Then i went to turn it on but all of a sudden it wont. I thought that was weird so i went to the back of the power supply and hit the switch to "off" and unplugged the power cord from the power supply shortly after. Then i plugged everything back and switched the power from the power supply "ON" and the mother board lit up, so i got happy and went to hit the power switch from the top of my NZXT case but as soon as i hit it everything goes dark again. Any help guys really freaking out here.

First, try and clear the cmos.

Then if still having issues, try a different PSU from another rig or something.

If it continues to fail, it's likely the motherboard. Then RMA it.

so i have the button that says "clear cmos" on the back of the PC but i have no lights on the motherboard, should i try to unplug the power cord or the hit the switch to get some lights to show up on the motherboard? then hit CMOS?

Also i have the x570 aorus Master which has two 8+8 CPU pins , i only plugged in one could that be the problem ?

sorry bro i am kinda a noob at this.

That's ok. Even for experienced people from far away, online diag is rather difficult.

Try to help best I can.

Yes some boards won't post without both 8 pin eps connectors. So definitely worth a shot.

Most boards only need one. I'd have to research exactly which boards, but it may be easier and quicker for you just to try it and see if it helps your situation.

You can hit that clear cmos any time you want. Don't while running an operating system though. If the board is powered on, when you press that button, the board will shut off and when you let go, the lights should come back on without posting. You can then hit the power button and go from there.

I hit cmos and everything went dark again, i did install alot of corsair rgb  fans/strips in the case about 2 days ago and everything was working fine prior to that, could it be that the RGB is using that much power that i should plug in the 2nd 8 pin cpu power or switch out the cable ?

Well there you go. Start the diag here. Remove all that you installed and see what happens.

For RGB setup, I recommend you to a friend of mine who can really help guide you.

His name is @thrasher_565 . Since we tagged him, he might be able to help set that up if the rig works with it uninstalled again.

(sorry I don't do RGB, just not my thing.)

i first would start the normal diagnostic with the pc be for tying with the rgb stuff. there lots of videos on your to of troubleshooting your pc or ask the guys on here. kinda what your asking already. for that un plug everything unnecessary. only thing you need is your psu mb power 8pin/6/4 and 24pin. you don't need a hhd and try your on bored display port if you have one. if you do have other parts to swap out and test that be good too. like psu, gpu, hhd,mb ram if you have it.

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx

also i edit post alot because you no why...

ya no how to hook up rgb but i don't no about overloading the psu. you would have to brake it all down what is the psu, how many devices per sata/molex how much dose each device pull i be leave the sata to the corsair fan hub can do about 4. something amps or w/e 6 fans x the amps on the fan or max 4 rgb strips i think.

Let's see if this thing works without RGB, I'm curious.

my guess its something els that died. dose the pug work? first part the start. then i would test if the psu works but unplugging everything and jumping the 24 pin green wire to ground and attach somthing that powers on to a sata or molex. if your psu has all black wires look at the pic on how to jump it.

i probly should link an 24 pin inted of the 20 pin my bad....

Yeah, me too. But still hoping it's just the RGB making the board act funny.

So don't want to condemn hardware just yet.

so first to confirm do you have power from the wall that the pc us plugged in too?

do you have a second pc to diagnose to see if the monitor, gpu and maybe ram work?  if not try the jumping the psu like i linked above. try plugin the monitor in to the mb instead of the gpu if posable.

i got some waffles that will have to do maybe milk and cereal nexed...

Welp, as others suggested, you can either try another power supply, or kick that motherboard to the curb and call it a day. 👍👍.....Its odd to me, because I have the same motherboard as yours, paid good money for it too. 😒
