Arma 3 is a really fun game to play with friends, Atlis life is really fun if you like roleplaying. Wasteland is quite cool, you drive around the map looking for people to kill, weapons to use, cars to drive. But I say only get it if one of your friends has it or they are going to get it, its one of those games that is like 10x better to play with friends like rust or dayz. Play Arma 2 a bit and see how you like that because it is very similar. The graphics on arma 3 are also really good.

I heard Arma 3 is alot simpler to play than Arma 2. i'm interested in just having some fun because I like tactical games.

Arma 3 is awesome. I usually play some type of wasteland mode. I'm actually configuring my own server for Arma 3 at the moment.

You guys are crazy. You know you guys are self-destructive. There's a funny farm somewhere and it's got your names written all over it. But I'm gettin' outta here.

I really enjoy Arma 3. Use to play a lot of BF, but since I started playing Arma 3, especially the King if the Hill and Altis Life mods, I haven't had much time for BF. It's a great game to play with friends. Tons of custom missions that are really enjoyable. I'd recommend it. Just take the time to learn the controls/etc, as it's way less forgiving than most games.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!

Arma 3 is awesome, but DayZ standalone is more fun to me...

So you would recommend Dayz over Arma 3? Is Does Arma 3 have alot of pvp servers?

well that's pretty much all arma 3 is about, and me personally would recommend getting arma 3 over day z. Arma 3 has so much more to do in it, there's a bunch of vehicles ranging from hatchbacks to armored cars and tank's even fighter jets. Various game modes the popular ones being Wasteland, king of the hill and Altis life. heck if you want zombies you can even download the breaking point mod for arma 3. there's just a lot more play time in arma 3 than there is day z in my opinion.

there's a lot of walking...if you only played dayz, i wouldn't buy it.  If you liked arma 2 standard, then get it.  Only thing that is stopping me is the price point.

If you have a group of friends who would also like to play DayZ consistently then I would say get DayZ. But if you tend to play by yourself more, or just want something that is less of a time investment I would say get Arma 3. I have both, and I play DayZ more, but DayZ is nowhere near as fun as Arma 3 when playing alone.

I have a GTX 560 and a i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10 GHZ and 7.94 GB that is usable. Will I be able to run it at a descent graphics setting? I know the game is very intensive.

hmm maybe it can run alright with the right video settings. I'm not really sure. Thing about Arma is that no matter how good your pc is it will still run like garbage. It all comes down to the mission file your playing and weather or not it is well written and doesn't have a bunch of extra things causing the FPS to drop. Hopefully somebody else here is more experienced to give you a better answer though

I mean it meets the recommended specs on steam, it doesnt over do it but its right there. Im just so hesitant in getting this game as its 60 bucks and it runs intensivly

Multiplayer (where the game shines, imo) is quite demanding. I just built a new rig (a decent one) and it gets 30-40fps with high to ultra-ish settings.

With your computer, you will have to really reduce the settings to play large multi-player games.

The game is great if you want a realistic slower-paced game. It's a mil-sim for a reason. I'm thinking of joining a squad to up the immersion factor.
