Which plug do I need to connect to my mb for my power button to function-ik it’s a huge mess rn it’s my first pc.

There should be a bunch of cables in there labeled Power SW (or button, really depends on the manufacturer but you should be able to recognize it), Reset switch, etc. Plug those into the corresponding headers as directed in your motherboard manual.

Yes I have those right here but where does this plug into?

Well obviously I’ve done that it says were to plug the front panel connectors in but not the actual connector to the connector if you know what I mean

If that's one of the bricks you plug the front panel cables in to, that goes in to the motherboard where the front panel cables normally go. You just plug them in to the same pins on everything.
