Hey guys so i'm having a bit of a problem here, not a huge problem but something that concerns me. I recently put together my build:

CPU: i9-9900k

COOLER: Corsair H100i Platnium

GPU: EVGA RTX 2060 6GB

MOBO: MSI MPG Z390M

RAM: (16GB x 2) Trident Z-Royal DDR4-3600

SSD: ADATA XPG SPECTTRIX RGB 512GB

PSU: EVGA BQ 750W (80 Plus Bronze)

CASE: Corsair Crystal 280X Micro ATX

When I play Fortnite, resolution 1920x1080, I seem to only be getting around 130-140 FPS. To me this seems kind of low, because I know of other people with Ryzen 7 3700X's that get 160 FPS all day. Could the GPU be experiencing some sort of thermal throttling issue?

OOF , i havent seen a worser pairing ,Fortnite is a gpu dependant game and not cpu ,and i dont see a reason for i9 9900k for gaming , it would have been a better pairing if u had got a r5 3600 and rtx 2070 super or rtx 2080 for those fps

Single core performance, which Intel still tends to excel at?

I am talking on his case , there is no sense in pairing a 9900k with rtx 2060 , ig this dude got scammed by someone , by telling that the cpu impacts the performance of a game more than the GPU

scammed seems like the wrong word, but yes a 9700k and a 2070s would have done better

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.
